Awake at Dawn by C.C. Hunter

Awake at Dawn by C.C. Hunter

***This is a sequel and might contain spoilers***

Awake at Dawn Picks up right where Born at Midnight left off. Kylie Galen continues her journey at the Shadow Falls camp in search of what she truly is. Lucas, the werewolf from her past (whom she can't stop thinking about) is still MIA and her fellings for the sexy faerie Derek are growing. Kylie is still getting used to seeing ghosts when a woman covered in blood starts appearing and asking Kylie "To save her." To top it all off her powers are growing and she can sense something sinister lurking in the woods. Can Kylie discover what she is in time to save herself?

C.C. Hunter delivers a book just as good as the first if not better. In the supernatural/romance YA genre books tend to be dramatically sappy. That is not the case with Awake at Dawn. There is a perfect combination of suspense, drama, otherworldly goodness, and romance. (Who doesn't love a good love triangle?) But once again if you are looking for a book with deeper meaning you probably don't want Awake at Dawn. However, if good entertainment is what you need...get this book. I give this book a rating of 3 1/2 stars.
