Description from Audible.com:
Rule #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries.
Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty - especially if they learn of her Sight - and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens.
Rule #2: Don't speak to invisible faeries.
Now faeries are stalking her. One of them, Keenan, who is equal parts terrifying and alluring, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer.
Rule #1: Don't ever attract their attention.
But it's too late. Keenan is the Summer King who has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost - regardless of her plans or desires.
Suddenly, none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything.
Faerie intrigue, mortal love, and the clash of ancient rules and modern expectations swirl together in Melissa Marr's stunning 21st-century faery tale.

My Thoughts:

I'm just going to clear the air before I get into the review and say that I LOVE Wicked Lovely! There I said it. This book is fantastic, Melissa Marr is fantastice, and this series is amazing. I'm a Wicked Lovely fan girl and proud of it. The faerie world and characters of this book are complex and absolutely brilliant. Aislinn is strong, she knows what she wants, has high morals, and at the same time she's just a scared girl. The developement of her relationship  with her best friend Seth is one of my favorite parts of the story. They match perfectly, two unique individuals in a fae fae world. Keenan is a faerie king who acts like he does because taht is al he has ever known. Aislinn and Donia bring a certain humaness to him, that despite his shortcomings allows you to root for him.  As far as Donia is concerned she is one of my favorite character in the entire series. Her scenes are so sad and heartbreaking and Ms. Marr has a way of writing Donia's voice that just speaks to the reader. And let us not forget the Winter Queen, she is one evil villainess who has a genuine love of cruelty.
Onto the world of Wicked Lovely. I found myself entranced by the ins and outs of the faerie courts. Their rules, myths, and traditions should have their own guidebook. The imagery of the faerie world along with the various quotes about faeries at the beginning of each chapter drive home just how different and cruel their world is.
Now, this is a review of the audiobook narrated by Alyssa Bresnahan. She did a pretty good job. I didn't really like her reading voice (her voice she used when not reading any particular character), but  her character voices were spot on (I really liked the guys). Will I get another audiobook outside of the Wicked Lovely series by her? I don't know. I give this audiobook a 4 1/2 STAR rating and the hardcopy of the book a 5 STAR rating.

***I love this series (just in case you didn't get that). I have the hardcover, the paperback, the kindle version, and now the audiobook. It is one of my top 5 favorite series of all time. One note before you start this series is that everybook does not star these main characters as the main charcter of that book. Every other book is about Aislinn, Seth, and Keenan. My favorite one of the series is Radiant Shadows. The series in order is Wicked Lovely, Ink Exchange, Fragile Eternity, Radiant Shadows, and Darkest Mercy.
