Top Ten Tuesday: Books to Play Hooky With

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke & The Bookish. Every week a new top ten list is posted and this week is Top Ten Books I Would Play Hooky With! I personally have never stayed home to read a book, but I have put a book in my binder or folder and pretended to pay attention. If I did stay at home and play hooky this is a list of books I would take the chance for. This was a hard list to do, so these are all books I stayed up through the night to read. All of the titles should be linked to their description and review pages on Goodreads.com.

10.) City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
I was in love with this love story! I skipped my last class to go out and buy the second one!
9.)Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
The movie was just OK, but I love this book and read it at least twice a year.

8.)Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyers
I have no shame. When these first came out I was in love!

7.)Hollowland by Amanda Hocking
This was my first zombie book. If you want a butt kicking heroine, Remy King is the girl for you. ***free on Amazon Kindle

6.)Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
This was my first alien book and I loved it! Never have I met such a sarcastic and mean lead guy that I loved so much.

5.) Divergent by Veronica Roth
I was fresh off of my Hunger Game binge and looking for another. I found Divergent and couldn't read it fast enough.

4.) The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Do I really need to write an explanation?

3.) The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead
I was looking for another vampire book and stumbled onto this one. Let me tell you it is amazing and has one of my favorite heroines of all time.

2.) Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer
OMG! This is was my first post apocalyptic book and I seriously obsessed about it for months after and still do today!

1.) Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

Really, is this a surprise to anyone? This is the series that started my love affair with YA.

***Honorable Mentions***
A Long Long Sleep by Anna Sheehan- A dystopian retelling of Sleeping Beauty that made my want to cry!
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien- I devoured these when I was in sixth grad and have loved them ever since1
