SPOOKTACULAR Giveaway Hop!


It's HALLOWEEN time!
Oct. 24th - 31st is the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop and is hosted by I Am A Reader Not A Wrtier & The Diary Of A Bookworm!
Here are a few facts about Halloween:
~ Halloween is thought to have originated from the Celtic celebration of Samhain
~Samhain is pronounced several different ways: 'sah-wen' or 'sah-ween', but never as it looks
~ Today's Halloween traditions are a mixture of Celtic religious, Roman Catholic, and various ethnic traditions
~ Halloween is America's second largest commercial holiday
~ Halloween really began to catch on in the mid-1800s with the influx of immigrants fleeing the Irish Potato famine.
~ Black Cats are a symbol used in Halloween due to the fact that in the middle ages people believed witches turned themselves into black cats to avoid being caught
~ In opposition to Halloween always dealing with death, many traditions stemmed from predicting a young woman's true love or future husband

    Blood on the Moon would be my choice but since so many people are picking Sisters Red, I better go investigate it on Amazon. I have found so many amazing books going through this hop! Thanks so much for being a part of the hop and for the giveaway.
