Description from Goodreads:

For almost two years now, Kiera's boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she's ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.

Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he's purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes...and none of them will ever be the same.

My Thoughts:

Kiera moves to Seattle to be with her boyfriend Denny at his new job. They move in with Denny’s childhood friend Kellan Kyle…sexy love’em and leave’em rocker extraordinaire. The trio get along great together and mesh well. The move was a big change for Kiera and Denny and as he becomes more wrapped up in his job the friendship between Kiara and Kellan grows stronger. One night their friendship crosses the line after Denny once again chooses his job over Kiera. Now Kiera is caught between the man she loves and moved across the country to be with and the best friend that she is inexplicably drawn to. Will Kiera choose the right man? Or will her secrets and lies leave her all alone?

Let me preface my review first by saying I really did get caught up in this story and liked Thoughtless as a whole. That said…Thoughtless was an apt name for this book, it describes Kiera perfectly. She strung along Denny and Kellan both and it drove me crazy! She would pick one guy and two pages later would be f***ing the other. Seriously? She both literally and figuratively screwed both guys over. The truly sad part is she supposedly kept trying to do the right thing…like be loyal, tell the truth, decide what she feels, not tell someone you love them and then have sex with the other guy when she gets home, do the right thing. These were all character flaws that Kiera had to work herself up to. So...I kind of hated the Kiera most of the time. What did I like about the book? The guys were amazing! Denny is sweet, kind, and driven. I kept asking myself how Kiara could do this to him. Then there was Kellan. He alone saved this book for me. Kellan is a wonderful character. He is sweet, caring, kind, and has the whole bad boy waiting to be saved quality that so many people seem to be drawn to. And that is exactly what he does. He draws the reader in and makes you care, makes you frustrated, and makes you wish he was real.

As for the plot line of the story, I really enjoyed it. The way Kiera and Kellan came to be friends, care about each other, and the way their relationship developed. I also enjoyed seeing how everything played out between Denny and Kiera. It is not everyday you read a book where the main female character is the cheater. Usually it is the low down douchenozzle of a boyfriend, but Kiera is the douchenozzle of this story. Lastly, I don't know if you looked at the stats for this book or not, but it is a BEAST! 544 pages written or almost 21 hours on audio! I had trouble staying focused because it seemed to drag on and on and on. There were repetitive parts that definitely could have been cut out. The audio of Thoughtless is done by Rebekkah Ross. She does a great job, especially with Denny's Australian accent. I will definitely be checking out more books by her. For the final question...Will I read the next book in the series? Yes. I just can't get enough of Kellan. I give this book a 3 STAR rating.
