Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Summer TBR

Long time, no Top Ten Tuesday! It's been a while since my last Top Ten Tuesday post, but the blogger funk is over. What is this Top Ten Tuesday you might ask? Well, if you haven't heard of it it is a wonderful weekly meme hosted by the lovely bloggers of The Broke and The Bookish where they provide the masses with a topic and we all make our top ten list for that week's post. If you want to see more awesome lists just click the link! The week of June 19 just happens to be Top Ten Books on my TBR List. This is a great idea since it will help me prioritize what I need to read. And let's face it that is going to be difficult with all of the amazing books out this summer and my rather unfortunately expensive book buying addiction. So, without further ado:

Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR List:

10.) Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield
This small town murder mystery made the list since it sits on my shelf patiently awaiting me to review it for the release date of July 5, 2012.

9.)Darkness Before Dawn by J.A. London
I have stalked this vampire twisted book since I first heard of it and this weekend I finally broke down and bought a copy!

8.)Plague Town: An Ashley Parker novel by Dana Fredsti
This isn't a new book, but it makes the summer must read list so I can learn all I can about the impending zombie apocalypse my sister assures me will happen.

7.)This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers
This book makes the list because I've been eagerly awaiting it since I read my first Courtney Summers book Fall For Anything and fell in love. Also it makes the list for the number 8 reason as well. You can never be too prepared! You can get this book as of June 19, 2012. (TODAY!)

6. )Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
How can this book not make the list with that beautiful dress?

5.) Endlessly by Kiersten White
I listened to the first two on audio and can't wait for this one to come out on July 24!

4.)Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
A Discovery of Witches took the world by storm and I finally gave in and listened to it on audiobook and LOVED it! Now I can't wait for the sequel to come out on July 10!

3.)Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols
Just about anything with a love triangle is a must read for me. I know they are somewhat corny and way over done, but I just can't get enough of them! July 10, 2012

2.)The Morganville Vampires: Black Dawn by Rachel Caine
I have followed this looong series since the first book came out. Of course I can't wait to read this one. TEAM MYRNIN!

1.)The Golden Lily: A Bloodlines novel by Richelle Mead
This is a must read for the summer! Everything Richelle writes or touches turns to gold...get it? LOL Seriously, all of her books are amazing and I need to buy this one ASAP!

So, what books made your TOP TEN? Are any of ours the same? Have you read any of the ones above? Leave me a link or comment!

  1. YES! You totally do need to buy The Golden Lily ASAP. It is so great and sigh-worthy and swooning and just full of the wonderful.

This Is Not A Test is excellent as well.

    Great list!

    My Top Ten Tuesday

  2. I too am looking forward to THE GOLDEN LILY!

Great list, it looks like you've got some brilliant books on it. Hope you enjoy reading them when you get them.

  3. The Top Ten Tuesday is a great way to get back into the books, isn't it? The Golden Lily sounds intriguing and I so love that cover with the dress. Great list.
